The DL on the lia sophia Countdown

Greetings all ye who are new visitors to my blog. I have seen what many of you have been searching for and thought it would be highly unfair if I didn’t say something about it. I am speaking of the 2011 Spring/Summer lia sophia catalog, of course, and that blasted password protection that I’ve placed on the posts about it.

I promise you, this was not done as some form of 21st century torture.

So why did I put a password on them then? Well, there are a couple of reasons.

1) When I received my catalog I knew that there were other advisors out there who had not yet – including my own mother. So, as much as I was excited to finally have my copy, I did not want to take away from any of those advisors the opportunity to share it with their customers themselves even if the posts are about trends and only show a limited number of pieces.

Several months ago I had an advisor come onto this blog and attempt to leave a comment directing readers to her lia sophia page promising them a discount if they mentioned my blog. I was shocked and appalled. It is entirely possibly she just didn’t realize how rude and underhanded it seemed, but, well, I don’t want to be that person to other lia sophia advisors out there.

If you have an advisor that you know and get along with, contact them. I’m sure they would be happy to share with you the new catalog, though it is possible that they haven’t gotten extra copies yet.

2) lia sophia hasn’t posted the catalog online. Why? While I’m not the voice of lia sophia, nor do have any insider knowledge, my understanding is that it is to keep from overshadowing the other awesome things going on this month – namely the Reverse Save Plan for Customers, extra $100 for $19 for Hostesses and $35 off kits for new Advisors.

It’s easy to slide right past the great things going on today with those bright shiny objects catching you attention in the future.

That’s not to say I don’t understand why you’re looking. We got the Fall/Winter 2010 Drop List in late November and didn’t get our copies of the new catalog until late December or even January. Speculation and discussion were rampant in the interim along with great amounts of anticipation.

So, what am I going to do with these posts then?

I do intend to make them public eventually- just not this week. There will probably be a couple more before I do that.

If you know an advisor in your area, contact them and see about checking out the whole catalog. I know it’s more work, but the new catalog is awesome.

If you don’t know an advisor in your area, check out the Advisor Locator on lia sophia’s corporate site (the link is to the USA site, if you’re in Canada here’s the info).

The other reason to visit the corporate site is that while the catalog is not live yet, the USA site was updated today and now has pictures of several new pieces on there. I’ve got at least one on my personal site as well which features several new bracelets.

Of course, I should tell you too that the password can be found online. It’s not on my blog, but since the posts are up for my customers I didn’t want them to not be able to see them so I put it up somewhere for them. If you’re up for a treasure hunt it’s only two clicks away from here.
